December???
Just found out today that my cool refrigerator choice, the new Thermador Freedom 36″ 3-door built in won’t be available until between late October to early December! 
The appliance guy wants me to pick something else. He’s pushing the SubZero:
But as AdoringHusband continues to say, it looks like it belongs in the grocery store. I don’t like that venting at the top. And please don’t mention overlays. I just don’t like them at all.
Now I have to decide whether to wait for the one I want or choose something I don’t like as much. This is annoying!
I could go with a cabinet depth (not built in) Viking
or Dacor
. But I’ve heard not great things about Viking refrigerators. And I really had made my mind up about a built in versus cabinet depth.
Crud. I’m inclined to wait for the one I want.
And my dear Millie asked about the door pulls. My interior designer suggested these customizable door pulls from Spectra Decor:
We can get some of the backsplash tile material as the inlays. I think that would be cool.
So what should I do about the fridge?

i dont like the venting at the top of the other one at all either, really detracts from the overall look-
Seriously, i think with what you are investing in the kitchen, i would wait for the one you want…

FWIW, we love our GE Profile fridge with the freezer on the bottom. May not be what you want, but works for us.

I’m loving your posts on your kitchen design. Funny some of what you are choosing is pretty similar to what I’m choosing for my other new home (which is delayed forever..but that’s another story). Definitely the stainless steel fridge.. love the one in your earlier pics. I see you like the freezer at the bottom I do too ‘in a way’ but I think I’ll still go for the side by side s/s ones, so no freezer at the bottom.. my back isn’t the best so I better keep it simple.
Love the granite countertops (referring to earlier posts). I like the style of everything, the cabinetry etc. I think it has a nice cosy contemporary feel, that’s exactly my taste.

Well, it’s all really beautiful. I kind of like the bottom fridge (french doors) just because I find myself fantasizing about putting large platters of something wonderful in that type of fridge.
First question: Do you know or have you worked with the person incharge of fridge ordering?
Second question: Have you called any other dealers of the fridge you like to see if maybe they have a shorter timeline?
I don’t trust people so make a bunch of calls that usually find me a better deal or a quicker delivery. Just my two cents.
