Snow & Mattresses

Today was a snow day for me. After that horrible travel day back from Kansas City yesterday, I was thrilled!!! Though I did have to work from home, the fact that I got to stay warm indoors wearing sweats instead of venturing outside to dig out my car was fine by me.

It’s weird that today is also Valentine’s Day. I should think that I’d be running around baking cakes and decorating the house, but eh…its a snow day. I did get AdoringHusband a card. Maybe we’ll celebrate on the weekend.

So other than working, what did I do all day?

  1. E-mailed back and forth with Joanna who has just about finished our gorgeous, funky profile page. I can’t wait for you guys to see it. She’s going to put it up on her web page.
  2. Gave up on Baby Universe and their eternal backorder of the Orbit Infant System. I couldn’t even get a decent answer as to when they would have it in. Instead I (finally) took Millie‘s advice and contacted the lovely people at Let’s Go Strolling. Not only was the black Orbit in stock, but they also matched the discounted price I received from Baby Universe. I need to listen to Millie even more than I already do.
  3. Tried to create a baby registry on Amazon but got right pissed off when I discovered that I had to enter a baby arrival date in order to create the registry. This then warranted a scathing letter to Amazon about how this date should have been optional.
  4. Researched crib mattresses.

The crib mattress stuff was interesting. I’m considering the following 2 mattresses because they have the cool and comfortable viscoelastic foam.

  1. Starlight Support Supreme Crib Mattress with Visco
  2. Cradletyme Visco-Classica

Anyone have any feedback on these or any others?

And because dear Millie loves to ask me about bedding, I looked at a few sets.

or this depending on the sex of the baby:

This  is a little boring but it appeals to me:

Alphabet, also simple:

I also like this set:

   but in this color family:

Well AdoringHusband has arrived home to shovel. That’s the best Valentine’s Day present ever!

I like the polka-dot bedding myself. Such pretty colors!
