Our Profile…Finally

Well it isn’t in the books yet, but thanks to the lovely Joanna, we have a visually appealing Dear Expectant Parent letter/profile. She’s even put the profile up on her site: Our Chosen Child. Feel free to view the design there and give her lots of props if you love it. (If you don’t, be quiet! Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting )

Now the reason it isn’t in the profile book yet is another long and sordid story entirely involving Kinkos, screwed up borders, misinformation from EarringBoy, and a lack of computer cooperation. I don’t want to bore you with it. The good news is that Joanna is now further rectifying this mess by sending the printing to the cool and inexpensive local print shop that she uses.

The profile is different, funky and totally suited to Dr. Liana Diva. Joanna is a marvel. I don’t know how she looked into my head and created something so me. I cannot rave enough about this woman. She is just fabulous!

Yes, it isn’t like most profiles that we saw in the profile book, but hey, you know I’ve got to follow my own path. Hopefully the right expectant parent will be drawn to this unusual look. And yes, I know the font is smallish (since AdoringHusband and I had a lot to say), but it is easily readable on the printed page.

If you’d like to see the whole huge PDF file, you can view/download it here: Liana’s Profile

The other good bit of news is that the Orbit arrived today! (Not that I’m home to play with it, since I am unfortunately in a smoke-filled nonsmoking room in Atlanta tonight.) More baby toys! Yay!

The most frequesnt advice I’ve heard is “be yourself and the right situation will find you.”

I think you’ve done that! Good Luck for a quick match!

I really like this Liana, it’s anything but ordinary – but not over the top or anything like that. It’s appealing and it works!

    Ok bring on a match!

I think you just described me perfectly! ;-)

      Thanks Candy!

she is great…6am and bright eyed, bushy tailed!

  8. Bonnie says:

The pdf won’t open on my computer, but from what I can see on Our Chosen Child it is visually appealing. If I were a birthmother I would find especially appealing the picture of you with the hat and the picture of Mason contemplating the crab.

The pdf is a big file so sometimes it is hard to open on some computers. Thanks for the positive feedback. Can you believe that the funky hat picture almost got left out of the profile? :-)

  9. Louise says:

Wow- this is great! I may have profile-envy :-) It really does a great job of showing what a fun couple you and your husband make.

  10. Lynn says:

Liana that was just beautiful. I truly hope you and Mason are blessed soon.

  11. Gabrielle says:

Liana, I read your profile and just cried my eyes out. It’s beautiful! It’s not just a profile..it’s more than that. You can feel the spirit of you and Mason. The colors, the warmth, the vibe and energy….great job.

It is very similar to mine in format, wording and style with the collage of pictures and bylines.
