Welcome To The Dollhouse

In The Books

Well it is official. As of today, we are officially in the books. I drove the profiles there myself. I expected some sort of ticker tape parade or pinata party in celebration, but alas there were no festivities to be found. I was told very simply that now the fun part begins: the waiting.

And while I was there, I actually ran into the executive director, the woman to whom I sent two letters complaining about the agency’s inability to address a letter to me by name rather than Mr. & Mrs. HisLastName. (Here are the posts describing my only frustration with my agency: A Titular Mess, I Was Annoyed, Now I’m Pissed) I introduced myself to her as the pain in the ass client. She assured me that this problem with the database had now been fixed. Unfortunately the last item I received from the office was still addressed as Mr. & Mrs., though that was some time in January. Perhaps it is indeed fixed. We shall soon see.

So now we wait…
