We Got the Call Today

Wonderful news, everyone. We got the call today while I was in the San Francisco airport that we had been selected by an expectant mother! I was stunned. We had only been in the books for a total of 12 days!
I don’t want to put too many details here but the expectant mother sounds lovely, and was looking for a biracial couple who had no children and…get this…had gone through infertility.
We will be scheduling a meeting with her soon. If all goes well and she remains firm in her adoption plan, we might become adoptive parents of a little girl at the end of April.
I am so thrilled!

I’m so freakin’ excited I had to comment in both blogs. I’m guessing you flew home on Cloud Nine. I told my mister (who btw is totally excited for you guys) that at least this way you’d have some quiet and time to process on the plane before your Adoring Husband went completely nuts.

I’m so exicted for you! Boys are great, but it would probably be lots of fun to dress a little girl, have tea parties with her and take her to the ballet:)

Fantastic!! When Sam was born, Ray and another expectant Daddy stood outside the nursery window while the babes were weighed and bathed- he was the daddy of twins, which we later found out where twins by open adoption. I can’t wait for you two to have your precious baby in your arms!

How cool is that? Clearly your excellent Karma is working for you. I was especially touched that the pregnant mother included infertility in her criteria for choosing her child’s parents. Can’t wait to see pictures of you holding your new daughter…
