Changing The Sheets

Well the baby bedding, that is.

Originally I had chosen this Banana Fish bedding pattern:

My decorators and I had even picked out a complementary fabric for the Katama glider I planned to order for the nursery:

But then I fell in love with the colors in this Glenna Jean bedding called Soho:

Soho

Everyone knows how much I love brights, as evidenced by my recent shoe purchase. These bright colors are so much more inviting to me. The weird thing about my chosing this bedding is that normally I hate orange! smile_omg Yet, somehow with this set, it works. I’m so thrilled by thinking of our peanut snuggling up in this pretty bed. (And yes I know that the bumpers, pillows, bears, and blanket all come out when the baby goes in.)

The decorators are coming up with some yummy new suggestions for this new color scheme very soon. Now if I could just find that little polka dot lamp, I’d be cool.

I’ve spent much of the weekend getting my baby registries up to snuff. I say registries simply because one place doesn’t seem to carry all the items I’d like to have. So now I am registered at Babies R Us, Baby Universe, Posh Tots, and for the things that are at no one store, I’ve created a registry at FindGift. Gosh, now I sound greedy. If Babies R Us carried everything, I would have been set, but you know how it goes…

Posh Tots has the cool diaper bags that I’ve falled in love with:

I spoke to Josie this weekend. She’s having a few more contractions than before, especially at the top of her uterus. Looks like it won’t be long now. Yikes! smile_sniff

Now I’ve got to go fold the onesies I’ve purchase for the peanut during our time in Delaware. Washed in Dreft, of course. smile_regular

I really liked the green bedding! But now that you know you are having a girl, the pink and orange seems more fitting. Ooooh the lovely diva trimmings you will be getting for your little girl… Fabulous choice!

  2. Lisa says:

I love the bedding! Both of them actually. I am so excited for you- it won’t be long now at all!

  3. Yolanda says:

Love the bedding and what a cute diaper bag. Have fun shopping, she’ll be here in no time.

  4. beagle says:

I agree, I love them both but now that you know your baby is a girl, the new choice moves up a notch for me too!

I’m so excited for you, this is really moving along!

  5. Gabrielle says:

Love the new choice! Bright colors stimulate the mind! Are your walls painted too? I thought the bumpers could stay in (see its been a while) ;) xoxox

    Love Love Love the bedding!

Suggestion on the diaper bags. Find out where you can see them locally. I saw a couple of bags that I just fell in love with but were on the expensive side. I wanted to see them before I invested the money. I have to say – they look horrible in person.

Oh, and I want the Cinderella Bed from Posh Tots!

  7. Tiffanni says:

Woohoo!!! I am all about those bright colors, too! I love it!!

  8. Catherine says:

Liana, I love it! We didnt buy any bedding until after Sam was here, I was just to scared about everything – then I searched and searched for something both Ray and I liked, we also wanted something non pastel, but boyish too – I was going to go with a bright Freckles set – and i came across Pirates Cover, so non typical baby – but Ray loved it

Love the newer choices for the bedroom.
The red envelope has a dad’s diaper bag that was a big hit for a friend’s husband. HE loves using it.

  10. Louise says:

I love love the bedding! So bright and cheery!

  11. Sylvie says:

Oh I just love your sense of style! I love both bedding sets, I don’t know how I would choose.
