Zizi’s Hat

This has been a fun weekend…NOT.

Zara developed some sort of GI bug with vomiting starting last Wednesday. Since that day of a lot of vomiting, she has done fine until I give her formula. Veggies, yogurt, fruit and pedialyte all stay down, but not formula. So today I’ve been diluting it half strength and there has been no further vomiting.

Unfortunately AdoringHusband caught the same bug and became symptomatic yesterday. And you know how it is when men get sick. You would think the grim reaper himself was coming for him. I asked him to watch Zara for 1/2 hour so that I could go get him some imodium and Pepto, but no, he just wanted to rest. So he stayed sick until he agreed to watch her today. (And yes, I know I could have taken her with me to the store, but hey…that’s beside the point.)

When I finally got both of them settled, I did manage to finish the hat I’ve been working on for Zizi. I should have completed it in a weekend but it took me about a week because my dear daughter insists on being held when I’m primed to knit. I tried to explain that it was her hat that I was working on, all to no avail.

I originally thought that I would snap a picture to update my What’s On The Needles picture in the sidebar.

But then before I uploaded the picture, I finished the hat. Here is Willow reluctantly modeling:

This evening, while she was in the bouncer, I managed to do all the finishing. I then realized that this photoessay would not be complete without the diva herself modeling her hat:

I think she likes it. But then again…

maybe not!

If she gets any cuter, I might just pop! Love the little hat, hate the whiney sick menfolk.

  2. Kellie says:

Why IS it that men are so darned whiney when they are the least little bit ill. Ugh.

But Zizi is just way tooo cute! The hat is adorable too :)

  3. Summer says:

Love the hat! And Zizi looks great in it, even when she’s giving you the snarky look.

  4. Elizabeth says:

  5. roni says:

She’s so beautiful!! And the hat’s not bad either – I’m constantly impressed wtih your knitting prowess.

Men are babies. End of story.

  6. beagle says:

Now, you know I think Zizi is adorable, so please forgive me for saying . . . this time I have to say the “Cat in the Hat” takes the prize! Though Zizi’s expression in that last photo makes it a very close call.

Cute hat by the way and perfect knitting!

  7. Jagirl says:
